A High Place Hinders the Prophetic Flow

THE PROPHETIC IS LIKE THE BANDWIDTH OF A SIGNAL

It is an error to be prayed for by the laid hands of a minister for you to have spiritual encounters, dreams, and visions!

Dreams, visions, and all spiritual encounters are channels of communication for men to interact with the spiritual world. We don’t pray for them to come, rather we cultivate ourselves to have access to them.

Ministers should lay their hand for you to receive an impartation of gifts and the Spirit. They should pray for you to receive more of the Holy Spirit. Teach you the Word of God, so that you may have a clearer understanding of the ways of God. Ministers should also continually encourage you to build tenacity for prayer, fasting, and meditation — so that the channels of your spirit can open up.

Here is the mystery I discovered while growing in the prophetic:

“Who may climb the mountain of the Lord?
who may stand in his holy place?
Only those whose hands and hearts are pure,
who do not worship idols
and never tell lies.”
Psalm 24:3–4

God lives on a mountain and He speaks from that mountain. It takes holiness for you to ascend to a higher frequency or to an upper frequency. Holiness is the standard for all who desire the prophetic! He is HOLY!

Truly I tell you, it is easy hearing from God when we decide [that is, to knowingly and willfully choose] to be led by the Spirit. But we hinder ourselves from His leading because of idolatry.

Our hearts constantly make idols out of things that were never meant to be worshiped. In fact, throughout Biblical history, we read accounts of how the people established high places to worship carved idols that were an offense to the Lord. The ‘high places’ were places of pagan worship, most often built on high hills or mountains and under trees, and were thought to bring people closer to their false gods. In essence, the high places were centers of idolatry.

I have encountered people who fail to discern their own high places.

I tell you the truth, just watching Netflix or TV is like going to a high place. The suggestive scenes [this included but not limited to: violence, riches/pride of life, or sexual immorality] you watch over and over again are likened to worship. As your eyes are focused on the display of moving visual media (demonic portal) and your soul is engaged emotionally in the storyline, your flesh is beholding the world's splendors and being transformed into the image of the fallen nature. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

These entertainment programs not only corrupt your spiritual eyes(mind) but defile your heart. You see, the idols or high places in our lives are reflections of our relationship with money and possessions. Jesus said that we cannot serve both God and mammon (Matthew 6:24). Really, we cannot service two altars: Either we will hate God and indulge in our idols, or we will be devoted to God and despise our idols.

We were created to worship and glorify God, but we must tear down our idols in order to do that. These places of worship must be destroyed and the names of the gods blotted out from our memory.
