The spirit of rejection is an oppressive spirit, that robs toxic people of peace of mind.

Oppression is defined as mental pressure or distress. The spirit of rejection is an oppressive spirit and fowler’s snare that makes toxic people live with residual trauma that makes them ready for the next attack or life-altering event. You can think of rejection as a trained dog, released by the enemy to press down on the toxic person — with intense negative thoughts or emotions that block them from experiencing freedom, peace, love, acceptance, or experiencing God in their life.

Frank Hammond in his book Pigs in the Parlor, says “the door for the spirit of rejection to enter is most frequently opened during childhood”. Because toxic people grow up under unloving circumstances, rejection manifests in their lives as negative thoughts to not trust anyone as a way to protect themselves from pain. These are people with very deep inner child wounds and would go to any length for self-preservation.

In the spirit, rejection is a Cerberus or three-headed dog — an evil spirit with three distinct heads:

  1. Rejection
  2. Fear of rejection
  3. Self-rejection

Rejection

One of the key reasons a person becomes a narcissist is due to growing up with emotional wounds from their childhood — rejection being one of the core wounds. Most narcissists grew up internalizing the feeling of being ignored, abandoned, or a victim of abuse.

Frank Hammond claims that pride is another compensation for rejection. For the narcissist to open the door for the Leviathan spirit to enter, the Rejection spirit must intensify the narcissist's wounds of being rejected — literally, Rejection entices him to desire the feeling of being important or special. This strongman works alongside the spirit of delusion to entice the narcissist—rather than addressing the old wounds that make them feel insecure, delusion tells them how special they are.

“For the narcissist to open the door for the Leviathan spirit to enter, Rejection must intensify the narcissist’s wounds of being rejected”

With the deeply wounded ego, he builds and nurtures false or unusual beliefs about his greatness — aka narcissistic grandiose personality. All this is demonically inspired and only leads to greater frustration, disappointment, and resentment.

Fear of rejection

This is a narcissist’s de facto fight-or-flight response to genuine empathy or love. This type of rejection causes a narcissist to be a quadruple amputee who is mute — he receives Storge (familial love), Philia ( friendship love), and Agape (sacrificial love) but is not aware or conscious of being a recipient of love, rather he receives it as adoration and attention. Since he does not discern love as a healthy person, his chronic philophobia is expressed as a fear of forming authentic or healthy attachments — preferring trauma bonds.

Self-rejection

This is the internal feeling within — insecurity and inferiority — or voice that reminds the narcissists of their inability to receive love; to put up emotional walls (Joshua 6) so that they don’t show love, and presume no one will love them for who they are — but who they want to be.

When Rejection is at work — all heads take turns to torment the narcissist. From being exposed to systematic rejection early; to being unable to regulate internalized feelings of inferiority; to becoming very fearful of close relationships through which he could experience further hurt. The systematic torment over time makes him more vulnerable to destructive suggestions by the nest of demonic spirits.

Since rejection is the first demon spirit to enter the narcissist — he is the little brother that invites ‘big brothers’ and closest allies to intensify the bondage. Rejection opens the door for the spirit of Mockery and/or Leviathan.
